Afghan and Chinese companies signed a $25 million agreement on the sidelines of the National Export Day celebration, paving the way for the export of 10,000 tons of cotton to China.

The deal was witnessed by Mullah Abdul Ghani Baradar Akhund, Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, and Nooruddin Azizi, Acting Minister of Industry and Commerce. Representing the Afghan side was Afghan White Gold, while Shanghai Chuban Textile signed on behalf of China.

This agreement strengthens Afghanistan’s export sector, which currently ships goods across 24 commercial sectors to roughly 80 countries worldwide. (ILKHA)
