MUMBAI: Afghanistan’s white-ball series against Bangladesh, originally scheduled to take place at the Shahid Vijay Singh Pathik Sports Complex in Greater Noida later this month, has been postponed.
“Yes, that series has been postponed. It will be too hot in New Delhi in July,” a source tracking developments told TOI on Thursday.
TOI had reported on July 20 that the BCCI had given a green signal to Afghanistan -now under Taliban rule-to host its matches in India after a gap of four years.
The series, which will involve three ODIs and as many T20Is, was originally supposed to be played between July 25 and August 6.
