Wardak announced her resignation in a post on X hours after the report appeared, detailing how DRI officials stopped her at the airport on April 25 and found gold bars hidden inside special compartments stitched to her clothes.DRI is also probing her earlier trips, particularly in past six months following information raising doubts about her conduct. She was not arrested as she enjoys diplomatic immunity.
