Chefs representing professional kitchens across Omaha — from gourmet restaurants to homeless shelters — will participate in this year’s Art & Soup fundraiser for the Visiting Nurse Association.
The 27th annual event will take place March 10 at the Omaha Design Center, 1502 Cuming St.
People who attend can view a variety of works from local artists and bid on auction items in addition to sampling soups. Proceeds will go to the VNA’s public health services at domestic violence shelters, homeless shelters and maternity homes in the Omaha-Council Bluffs metropolitan area.
“We’re thankful to the community, our participating chefs and artists and our partners for supporting these crucial services,” said Carole Patrick, VNA president and CEO, in a press release.
Participating restaurants and other facilities include Avoli Osteria, Pitch, Fig, Le Voltaire, Heirloom Fine Foods, Talus Spirits & Sustenance, Ono Pinay Kitchen, Open Door Mission, Stephen Center and more.
